Opinions of Mitt Romney

Opinions about Mitt Romney from some of those now supporting him. These opinions may be based on prejudicial reasoning, but then again, many of these same people are now saying nice things about him because he’s their party’s nominee, and those opinions could be equally prejudicial.

Secret Mormon Rituals Filmed

I first saw this a couple of days ago, but since I tend to find all religious rites and rituals pretty ridiculous, wasn’t sure if it was something to share on the blog or not.

Since then however this video has gone viral, and is having a rather substantive impact on those who see it, and did not realize before exactly how different Mormonism is from Christianity. In fact, in my opinion, Mormonism can no more be considered a Christian religion than can Islam.

Check it out for yourself, and when you do remember that Mitt Romney has participated in these rituals as well. In fact as a Bishop he most likely would have officiated at them. This may help you understand who and what Mitt Romney is as a man, and who and what he could well be as President if he is elected.

Mitt Romney, Bain Capital, Sensata, and the Chinese Connection

Mitt Romney is on the podium preaching the line that he would create jobs, while his buddies at Bain Capital — the company he founded  — are outsourcing jobs to China. But the larger picture looks even worse and is happening right now.

These greedy bastards are actually packing up the Sensata Technologies factory owned by Bain Capital, and shipping the equipment, along with and our specialized American technology, to China. They are not even sneaking around like spies selling the technology to China, they are brazenly taking the technology and handing it, gift-wrapped, to the Chinese.

It is no secret that the Chinese have been breaking all our patent laws and stealing American designs and technologies for years, but now Mitt and his greedy cohorts are actually taking the technology to China themselves. This technology is worth far more than the plant is and will be able to generate billions of dollars for the Chinese economy while robbing America’s economy and technological advantage in the process.

They even brought Chinese engineers to the plant between May and July of this year and forced the Sensata workers to train them, as they were losing their jobs to the Chinese. Usually a company is sold when it is not making a profit, but in the case of Sensata, the company made more than $500 million in the second quarter of 2012.

Aren’t there laws about selling secrets to foreign governments? This Sensata plant produces high-quality sensors, which they sell to various car companies. The technology is uniquely American and is of the highest standard worldwide. The Chinese are just salivating over the prospect of acquiring the new technology. Without Bain Capital handing it to them, they would take years to develop this technology on their own.

Bain owns 51% of Sensata, and Romney personally owns at least $8 million worth of stock in Sensata, so Mitt Romney is very well informed that he is party to the outsourcing of American jobs to China. Not surprisingly, he and his campaign are very tight-lipped about this issue, while he pontificates about getting tough on China and their trade policies if he’s elected President. I’ll tell you right now, there will be no “get tough on China policy” in a Romney administration, should such an unthinkable thing happen.

For the past few months Sensata workers have been fighting tooth and nail to keep the jobs here. They have sent letters to Romney and his camp pleading for his input in saving their livelihoods. They have had doors shut on them by the Romney people and many of them have been arrested in protests held outside of the plant.

In the latest attempt to shed light on the issue, Ed Schultz of MSNBC did his evening show live from the Freeport IL on Friday, at the workers’ camp set up just outside the company gates. The workers have been trying to impede the trucks that come and go carrying the equipment out of the plant to be shipped to Communist China. In response to the show broadcast, the plant gates were barricaded and the workers were not allowed into the compound to work on Friday, which had been scheduled as their last day.

Workers at Sensata have been making an average of $17 an hour. The plant in China which will be producing the same products will pay an average of less than $1.00 per hour. Even though Sensata is making record profits, they see an opportunity to make even more money for their Bain Capital investors who never seem to have enough, no matter how much they make and how badly they hurt the nation’s economy and technological advantages.

Mitt Romney should not be elected President. He has been a dishonest broker in this whole matter and he is lying to the American people. He is not deserving of our trust or the job for which he has been running.

Potential Mitt Romney Bombshell

Yesterday word leaked out that Gloria Allred, well-known attorney, may be bringing a case forward on behalf of an unnamed woman involving Mitt Romney. The news originated in a tweet from Matt Drudge, infamous right-wing muckraker.

People who claim to be in the know say that one of Romney’s ex-maids is snitching on him.

And word has it that she’s about to disclose some interaction of an undisclosed nature she had with him.

Now for about 99% of the Republicans, they’d vote for him if he was a member of Al Quaida. But for independent voters, especially women voters, we doubt they’re gonna feel good about putting a man of questionable character in the White House.

More specifics could be known about the allegations as early as today, and then again it could all just be a rumor that goes nowhere.

When Ms. Allred was asked about the allegations that she would be bringing some sort of charge to the forefront, she said, “I have no comment at this time about Mr. Drudge’s Tweet. I don’t discuss meetings with potential clients.” This may signal there’s actually some fire there and not all smoke. Stay tuned for more details should they break in the mainstream media.

Mitt Romney Jokes

A Liberal, a Conservative and a Libertarian walk into a bar. The bartender asks, “What’ll ya have, Mitt?”

Mitt Romney says he’s never paid less than 13% in taxes, which is probably fair because only 13% of his money is in this country.

They say that Paul Ryan will humanize Romney. Of course, truth be told, an amoeba could humanize Romney.

Mitt Romney was attacking Obama about our failing education system. He has a point. We are graduating millions of people in this country who are so lacking in basic analytical skills, they are considering voting for Mitt Romney.

Mitt Romney believes that marriage should be between one man and one woman. Which is better than his grandfather, who believed that it should be between one man and five women.

Apparently a large branch of Mitt Romney’s family lives in Mexico. … His grandfather in the late 1800s moved his whole family to Mexico to avoid being prosecuted for polygamy. … Mitt can use that to show that he’s tough on immigration. His family kicked themselves out of the country.

Political analysts are saying that Mitt Romney is having trouble generating enthusiasm among Iowa voters. Now, ladies and gentlemen, you know you have a problem when people in Iowa find you dull.

The Absent Mitt Romney

According to an in-depth article in The New York Times, Mitt Romney spent more than one fourth of his time as Governor of Massachushetts away from his duties.

When the ceiling collapsed in the Big Dig tunnel here, Gov. Mitt Romney was at his vacation home in New Hampshire. When the Bush administration warned that the nation was at high risk of a terror attack in December 2003, he was at his Utah retreat. And for much of the time the legislature was negotiating changes to his landmark health care bill, he was on the road.

During Mr. Romney’s four-year term as governor of Massachusetts, he cumulatively spent 417 days, out of the state, according to a review of his schedule and other records. More than 70 percent of that time was spent on personal or political trips unrelated to his job, a New York Times analysis found.

The Times compiled an itinerary of Mr. Romney’s travels by analyzing the governor’s public schedules, reviewing news accounts of his travels and the responses to public records requests made during his time in office by news organizations, including The Boston Globe, The Herald and The Associated Press, that were available at the Massachusetts State Archives. The figure is probably higher than 417 days because Mr. Romney’s vacations were often not recorded on his public schedules.

Mitt Romney spent more than 1 out of every 4 days of his tenure outside of Massachusetts.

Sound familiar? George W. Bush spent literally one third of his entire two-term presidency away from his duties in Crawford, Texas. Over 1,000 days.

There’s every reason to suspect Romney would continue this trend if he were elected.
