Ann Romney Doubts Mitt’s Mental Stability

This is something I worry about too, but when Ann Romney states it so bluntly, I worry even more. No one knows Mitt better than her, and she’s worried for his mental well-being. A moment of honest candor on the campaign trail, to be sure.

Ann Romney told a Nevada television station her biggest concern if her husband, Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, becomes president was his “mental well-being.”

In an interview last Thursday with television station KTVN, Mrs. Romney was asked what her biggest worry was should Mitt Romney be elected to serve in the White House.

“I think my biggest concern obviously would just be for his mental well-being,” she said. “I have all the confidence in the world in his ability, in his decisiveness, in his leadership skills, in his understanding of the economy. … So for me I think it would just be the emotional part of it.”

Ann Romney’s “Let Them Eat Cake” Moment

Ann Romney is reinforcing her husband’s refusal to make public several years of tax returns, telling ABC News today, “we’ve given all you people need to know” about the family’s finances.

“You know, you should really look at where Mitt has led his life, and where he’s been financially,” she said in her interview with Robin Roberts. “He’s a very generous person. We give 10 percent of our income to our church every year. Do you think that is the kind of person that is trying to hide things, or do things? No. He is so good about it. Then, when he was governor of Massachusetts, didn’t take a salary in the four years.”

Roberts pressed: “Why not show that, then?” and reasoned that people could “move on” if her husband released his returns.

Romney responded, “Because there are so many things that will be open again for more attack… and that’s really, that’s just the answer. And we’ve given all you people need to know and understand about our financial situation and about how we live our life. And so, the election, again, will not be decided on that. It will be decided on who is gonna turn the economy around and how are jobs gonna come back to America.”

Shades of Marie Antoinette and her “Let them eat cake,” reply when told that the French peasants had no bread to eat. Out of touch and above the realities of life in their regal stations. Ann Romney and her fetish for dressage, the elite prancing horse sport, and her earlier counterpart, Marie Antoinette and her fetish for dressing, as in ridiculously expensive clothing.

When Ann used the term, “you people,” what did she mean? “You [black] people.” “You [Mexican] people.” “You [Muslim] people.” “You [poor] people.” “You [ignorant] people.”
“You [fill in the blank] people.” Mitt Romney … a leader for “you people.”

I don’t about you, but I might just use that line with the IRS next April. “We’ve given you people all you need to know.”

Ann, who made her money in the old-fashioned way–marrying a rich guy, dressing down, we the people. For it really is, “we the people,” not “you people.” Ann who worked hard bearing five sons and staying home with assorted nannies, maids, gardeners, cooks, and other household staff in order to earn her elevation from commoner to a life of status, wealth, and prestige. And aren’t we all impressed with her achievement to the highest order of social status?

Ann who thinks that they’re so “charitable” by giving money to the Mormon church, which requires a minimum of a ten percent tithe from its supplicants. Sorry, that is not charity if it’s required to be a good practicing Mormon. It also isn’t charity when you find that the church then spends millions on massive cathedrals, lobbying against Prop 8, etc. And that they have business and property holdings worth upwards of $40 billion, and all of it is tax free.

Furthermore Ann, job applicants do not get to decide what is required for the application. The job creators do, and in this case it is the people of the United States.

Any time the Romney’s open their mouths we find out more and more about who they really are and it’s not going to go over well come election time. Americans are struggling and the Republicans are destroying the middle class while people like the Romney’s are living high off the hog from tax havens and tax breaks.  Enough is Enough.

Willard Mitt Romney hasn’t done anything illegal thanks to a Congress that lacks the same ethical standards embraced by the Romneys, but it’s not the American way.

If he has nothing to hide then release the tax returns and close the offshore accounts. The American public will not vote for “Mr. and Mrs. Entitled of 2012”.  We are suffering because of business practices at companies like Bain, and now they are shoving it down our throats.
